Suppose you were to cut six pieces from straws: two pieces that are 2 inches long, two that are 4 inches long, and two that are 5 inches long. Also cut two pieces of string that are each about 20 inches long. Thread one piece of string in each size of straw. Tie the ends of the string together so the pieces of straw form a triangle. Can you make a different triangle with the same side lengths, which is not congruent to the first triangle? (Hint: You can still answer this question without doing the activity.)
