OpenStudy (crisulcampo):

How do I calculate r^2 determination coefficient and what does it mean?

OpenStudy (crisulcampo):

@ganeshie8 @agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You could look up the formula if you want to do it by hand... Otherwise use a calculator, like a normal person.

OpenStudy (crisulcampo):

I have found many formulas on the webside, so I'm a bit confused

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I don't think I've ever worked it out by hand.

OpenStudy (crisulcampo):

so what's the procedure by using calculator?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Depends on the calculator. It comes up on most when you do something like two variable stats. Use Google to find out how to.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Or do linear regression.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

R^2 shows the percentage of variability in y that is explained by x. Google has good explanations as to the meaning of it.
