PLEASE HELP WILL MEDAL Identify the lower quartile (Q1), the median (Q2), and the upper quartile (Q3) for this data set. {6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21} Q1 = 9, Q2 = 13, Q3 = 17 Q1 = 6, Q2 = 13, Q3 = 21 Q1 = 6, Q2 = 14, Q3 = 19 Q1 = 9.5, Q2 = 12.5, Q3 = 18.5 Max had a choice of 3 breads, 2 meats, and 4 cheeses to make a sandwich. How many different sandwiches can she make? 9 12 24 32
The median is the "middle" when a list is sorted from low to high. If the set has an odd number of items there is one number in the middle, if even there are two in the middle and we take the average as in your case so for you the median is the average of 12 and 14 or 13. The first quarter is the median of everything to the left of the median and the third is the median of everything to the right of the median. So for your case Q1 will be 9 and for Q3 it will be 17, so in total 9, 13, 17. For question two 3 choices followed by 2 choices followed by 4 choices so 3*2*4 or 24.
Thank you very much! :)
