I'm not sure if I agree! I'm sorry! I actually think it would be D. The question is clearly stating that Tyler purchases 2 pairs of shoes each year. So h is buying 2 shoes per year. So let's say we need to find the total number of shoes he buys after 6 years. If it would be B, then answer would be 3, but it wouldn't make sense that he buys 3 shoes after 6 years when he buys 2 pairs per year. If we use the equation in D, then it would be that he has bought 12 shoes in total after 6 years which makes more sense. A also wouldn't be correct because the question does not state that he starts off with two shoes. And C wouldn't be correct either because it did not state that he starts off with 2 shoes and it does not state that he buys however many shoes is equal to whatever z year is.
