Which process requires the sperm and egg cells?

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

Fertilization! @gestin12

OpenStudy (foxesrcool):

lol

OpenStudy (sinha):

Lol but it's true, fertilization requires sperm and egg cells, and then become zygote and after lot of process, become a baby!

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Reproduction uses. The egg and sperm are haploids, which are cells that contain half of the cells necessary to make a baby. The Egg: Apart of the females reproduction system. 'The egg' is a potential fetus that may later grow into a baby. HOWEVER, it isn't at that fetus stage yet, simply just half of the cells. Why? Because it needs a male's sperm to start the process. |dw:1471624719063:dw| The sperm: Usually seen with a tail, to 'swim' towards and fertilize the females egg, giving the egg the other half of cells to make the fetus.Apart of the MALE reproduction system.
