You are just going to need to use the slope-intercept form to answer this one. y = mx + b Your y-intercept is already given to you so that fulfills the 'b' portion of the equation. So you only have to find out what the slope of the equation is. Al you have to do to find the slope is divide the absolute value of the y-intercept by the absolute value of the x-intercept. Or use your simple Run over Rise strategy to create a fraction. |3| / |-1| = 3 Equation should be: y = 3x + 3
