OpenStudy (magallar23):

scale is 1 inch to 20 inch ?

OpenStudy (jenessa_2413):

OpenStudy (magallar23):

Ok. Im going to assume it's 1in:20in In that case. Multiply each side by 20 first. 2in * 20 = 40 in 3.5in * 20 = 70 in Multiply both sides to get the area in inches square. 40 in * 70 in = 2800 in^2

OpenStudy (magallar23):

divide that by 144 in^2. We do this because conversion for in^2 and ft^2 is 1 ft^2 = 144 in^2

OpenStudy (magallar23):

I get 19.444 ft^2 rounded down to 19 ft^2

OpenStudy (magallar23):

Any questions?

OpenStudy (jenessa_2413):

OpenStudy (jenessa_2413):
