this will literally be my last problem in this horrible section of my life we call geometry. If someone can help me finish this terrible chapter in my life i'd appreciate it
A point A is graphed at (0, 5). Complete the coordinates of a shape that can be rotated about the y-axis to create a cone.
First of such a "beautiful" representation of your problem will not help you in any way. Moreover, it will deter helpers on this site, since you're not interested in learning this chapter. You most probably want to just get the answer and finish. So to get proper help, you should've a proper and appropriate representation of your question
it was a joke relax , i wasn't asking for answers. if you really think that's the case then please go look at the question's i've asked so far and see for your self .
Hi Lets see - if i draw a triangle it should help yiou: |dw:1470061473904:dw|
i would get a cone right ?
Yes exactly
so any point along the x-axis will give me a cone?
|dw:1470061602169:dw|
yea the point A could be something like (2,0) for example.
okay. but why?
I'm not sure what you mean . AS you say any point on x axis (except at the origin ) would form a triangle with (0,5) and the origin . If you roate this it forms a cone. Point (2,0) is just an example of where the point can be.
oh okay i got it.
thanks
