Hello, So i am writing an email to universities asking for information regarding the application process, I wrote the email but I'd appreciate any help with reviewing what I wrote it in order to address the matter correctly
what do you have so far
.I am interested in applying as a transfer student to study chemical engineering in the 2016-2017(spring semester) academic year and I would like to receive more information regarding the application process. When can I send the required documents via slide room, and where can I find the transfer application in your website
i seems ok so far
Are you sure I can send the email now?
unless you need more information than you requested but it seem better than the email i sent
Thanks, You can send them a better version of an email that clearly address's your doubts. Are you applying this year?
i already tried but i was rejected from OSU
next step is USF or Embry Riddle
good luck i college
in college sorry my key board needs replaced
Good luck to you too, you still have plenty of opportunities.
@AlphaWolf OSU? As in Oregon State University? @Abmon98 That was pretty well written, but keep in mind, many Colleges/Universities don't respond very well with "I am interested in" Keep it succinct.
@Jaynator495 Ohio State University
@AlphaWolf I'm from Ohio! Though I'm attending University of Akron. Although it's too late, this is my opinion on the letter. -------------- Original: I am interested in applying as a transfer student to study chemical engineering in the 2016-2017(spring semester) academic year and I would like to receive more information regarding the application process. When can I send the required documents via slide room, and where can I find the transfer application in your website -------------- My revision and format: Dear (whatever department you are addressing), I'm interested in applying as a transfer student to study Chemical Engineering for the 2016-2017 Spring Semester. I would like to receive more information regarding the application process. When would I be able to send the required documents via slide room. Also, where can I find the transfer application on your website? Thanks/Sincerely, Your name --------- Have a nice day!
*VITAL* Do not say "I'm interested in"
That is the NUMBER 1 biggest mistake people make
That's for job applications, though. When wanting information, wouldn't putting "I'm interested in" as in acquiring information?
So its better to remove my first sentence and get straight to the point?
No, be succinct-objective, as little words as possible. They're not interested in learning what you're interested in, trust me. I've written 7-8 of these
