OpenStudy (wildemo):

An expression is shown below: 2x^3y + 18xy − 10x^2y − 90y Part A: Rewrite the expression so that the GCF is factored completely. (4 points) Part B: Rewrite the expression completely factored. Show the steps of your work. (6 points)

OpenStudy (wildemo):

I know how to get to 2y(x^3+6x-5x^2-45)

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Very good. Now can you factorize the cubic equation?

OpenStudy (wildemo):

I am not sure how to. Aka i don't know where to go from here .

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

2y(x³-5x²+6x-45) Can you factorize the expression in the brackets

OpenStudy (wildemo):

I am going to try: 2y[x^2(x-5)1(6x-45)] I am most likely wrong though

OpenStudy (wildemo):

Do you know what I did wrong? @FaiqRaees

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

That's not a correct way to factorize a cubic equation. Just google "factorizing cubic equations" and you can learn from there
