OpenStudy (just.alex):

If a tRNA molecule has an anticodon which reads AUG, what was the codon of the mRNA molecule? CGU TAC TAG UAC

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

assuming AUG is written 3' AUG 5'. And assuming your answer choices are written in the notation of 5' --- 3'. You need to remember that in RNA adenine bonds to uracil and not thymine. A big hint is that you can immediately get rid of 5' TAC 3' and 5' TAG 3' as they both contain thymine which is not found in RNA. Now you just have to pick from 2. Remember that A corresponds with U and G corresponds with C (in terms of bonding).

OpenStudy (mazmaz1):

A

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

it is not A.

OpenStudy (ladycielphantomhive):

RNA has Urasil, U, which replaces T. That takes out two answers. A corresponds with U, and G with C. That would eliminate answer A.
