Evaluate the expression: v ⋅ w Given the vectors: r = <8, 1, -6>; v = <6, 7, -3>; w = <-7, 5, 2>

OpenStudy (amistre64):

stack them, multiply down the like parts, and add the results ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

v = < 6, 7, -3> w = <-7, 5, 2> --------------- ? + ? + ?

OpenStudy (brydenwright):

What is the r there for? That's mainly why I'm confused.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

r is just some other vector ... extra information that the problem does simply not use.

OpenStudy (brydenwright):

Okay, thanks!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome

Just like some word problems, remember that more information than you need maybe given :-)
