OpenStudy (prupel85):

which second-degree polynomial function f(x) has a lead coefficient of 4 and roots 5 and 3 A:f(x)=4x^2+7x+10 B: f(x)=4x^2+28x+40 C: f(x)=4x^2-7x+10 D: f(x)=4x^2-28x+40

sam (.sam.):

What do you think?

sam (.sam.):

All of them are second-degree polynomial, 'squared', has a lead coefficient of '4'x^2

sam (.sam.):

You will need to find the equation using the roots 5 and 3

OpenStudy (prupel85):

i think that its c

sam (.sam.):

Nope

OpenStudy (prupel85):

then its A?

sam (.sam.):

Are you sure the roots are 5 and 3? Because there is no correct answer

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I'm using a quadratic equation calculator http://www.1728.org/quadratc.htm and the roots I get are either 5 and 2 OR -5 and -2 for equations B and D

sam (.sam.):

Yeah

OpenStudy (prupel85):

5 and 2 my bad

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Then it is equation D right?

OpenStudy (prupel85):

i think
