Active Transport is the movement of ions or molecules across a cell membrane into a region with a higher concentration, assisted by enzymes and requiring energy. A molecule leaves the lower concentration area and goes across the cell membrane into the cell. They use enzymes and energy to get into the cell so they can do their jobs.
