OpenStudy (abbles):

Solve the limit...

OpenStudy (abbles):

\[\lim \frac{ 3x+3 }{ \sqrt{x} }\] as x approaches -1

OpenStudy (abbles):

Plugging in doesn't work... would I rationalize the denominator?

OpenStudy (karim728):

isnt it 0?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

This function is only defined for \(\large\rm x\in(0,\infty)\). So I don't really know what they want you to do here... -1 is not in the domain of the function... hmm

OpenStudy (abbles):

It was a practice problem in class a few days ago... the answer was 6... only I didn't write down how to do it xP

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The answer is 6? Oh then you meant \(x\to1\) positive 1.
