Kim is a photographer who specializes in family portraits. She charges a $75 sitting fee plus $18 for each print ordered. Which equation represents the amount, a Kim would charge for a photo session when p prints are ordered A.) p=75a+18 B.) a=18p+75 C.) a=75p+18 D.) p=18a+75

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

$75 is a one time fee or the constant. $18 is a fee for each time a print is ordered. let me do an example I charge a $5 fee to come in to my store. And I charge $1 for each cookie. Write an equation. $5 is the constant or the y-intercept $1 is going to be the slope because each time I order a cookie (which is x) I will increase by 1 y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept the equation would be y = 1x + 5 now do it for your question how I did it for the example :)

OpenStudy (ernesto):

So just to be clear is it p=18a+75??

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

you have the variables switched you get charged 18 for each print, or p a is the total cose at the end :)

OpenStudy (ernesto):

thanks
