Cos(x+2) 2. Which one results in a horizontal stretch? A. 2/7cos(x) B. -3cos(x) C. Cos(7x) D. Cos (x/3 3. Which one results in a vertical shrink? A. Cos(x-2) B. 2/3cos(x) C. Cos(4x) D. 2cos(x) 4. @javyb13

OpenStudy (javyb13):

okkk lets get startedd

OpenStudy (jekdidkdjrjrjjr):

yaa

OpenStudy (javyb13):

ok so these are the rules y = cos(x) transforms to y = cos(kx) k > 1 ---->horizontal shrink 0<k<1 ---->horizontal stretch and y = cos(x) transforms to y = Acos(x) |A| > 1 ----> vertical stretch |A| < 1 ----> vertical shrink

OpenStudy (jekdidkdjrjrjjr):

k

OpenStudy (jekdidkdjrjrjjr):

i just want to make sure my answers r right

OpenStudy (javyb13):

mkay so lets see here

OpenStudy (javyb13):
