OpenStudy (oraclethinktank):

The domain of both f(x) = x - 6 and g(x) = x + 6 is all real numbers. What is the domain of h(x) = f(x)/g(x)?

OpenStudy (sshayer):

domain is all real numbers except where denominator is zero.

OpenStudy (oraclethinktank):

I need to do the division of the two functions to find it for the assignment, That's what I need help doing.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

The domain (in this case) is every number that does not make you divide by zero, so find out what number makes the function in the denominator equal to zero, i.e. g(x) zero, and remove that from the domain. In other words, you need to solve g(x) = 0 and EXCLUDE that from the real numbers.

OpenStudy (oraclethinktank):

How would I go about solving g(x) = 0?

OpenStudy (oraclethinktank):

I need to find the domain of f(x) over g(x)

OpenStudy (sshayer):

\[g(x) \neq 0,x+6 \neq 0,x \neq -6\] domain is all real numbers except ?
