UNCLE DADDY LONG LEGS

Uncle daddy long legs
once had very long legs. (duh!)
Brown with specks of hair
in need of a shave.
Well daddy long legs
decided to be brave.
He huffed and puffed
on a very hot day
as he tangled his legs
to weave a little home.
When all was said and done,
well Uncle daddy long legs
had a dance.
(imagine those long little dancers!)
He then set about threading
tables and chairs
as the neighbors came closer
to watch and stare.
Finally done, he then made
two cups of spider tea.
He said “for a special
someone and me.”
Hanging his hat and apron,
Mr. Daddy long legs sat down
and in doing so
he began to frown.
“My ole' back back”
he said
and as the pain grew
so did his weakness.
Then Aunt daddy long legs
came aknockin'
which startled Uncle who
started ahoppin' .
He let her in
as they hugged with all eight legs
Then she started fussing
and set down her shopping bags.
“What happened to you?”
Say's she.
“Broke me back aweavin' “
Says he.
She fixes him a cold press
and puts it on
while he tells her how
he missed her when she was gone.
After much fuss and talk,
both sit down to tea.
Uncle daddy long legs and Auntie,
they lived their lives ever after so
happily.

Fun Fact: Daddy longlegs are the most poisonous spider in the world, but they aren't as dangerous as others. Their fangs can't pump enough venom is big animals (humans count as animals because we are mammals), so they cant kill them.

also, I didn't hear it at a summer camp. I "heard" it in a book, and from an adult. they might find the info you gave me interesting. also, when I said "fangs" it was a for-a-lack-of-a-better-word thing. And I said most poisonous SPIDER in the world, not creature.

AND their "fangs" aren't too "weak" to bite you. What I heard was their "fangs" only get enough venom in what they bite to stun it, and what they eat are very small.
