Need help checking my answer for proving a line that proportionally divides a triangle is parallel to the third side

OpenStudy (aaronrocky):

Currently my answer is: If you construct triangle ABC and the passing line is DE, extend the lines on triangle ABC and line DE. If Corresponding angles C and E are congruent, and corresponding angles A and D are congruent, then line DE is parallel to the third side AC. Obviously, I know this is correct, but is this what the question means by "prove that a line that divides two sides of a triangle proportionally is parallel to the third side"

OpenStudy (hlpmeihlpu123):

this is history bud but what grade are you i might be able to help

OpenStudy (aaronrocky):

Oh uh.... really don't know how I got on the history tab, it's fine I will move it..
