OpenStudy (kesha_betts):

Which set of fractions is ordered from least to greatest? A five over eight, eight over twelve, three over four B eight over twelve, five over eight, three over four C three over four, five over eight, eight over twelve D five over eight, three over four, eight over twelve

OpenStudy (obviouslyhes):

Try turning the fractions into decimals, to do that divide the top number by the bottom number.

OpenStudy (frostyflame):

5/8 is the lowest because if you divide eight into fourths. one for is 2/8 so if you were to have three fourths of eights it would be 6/8. Now take 8/12 and reduce denominator to four, then you'll be able to compare all three fractions

OpenStudy (mathmale):

In each case you'll need to find the LCD (least common denominator) and then rearrange the fractions in increasing order. Please show your work if you'd like to receive feedback.
