finding average rate question

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

#3

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

@TheSmartOne @Jaynator495

OpenStudy (fbarroga):

Average rate of change deals with basically the slope between two ponits. If the second person ended up at the same place after the same amount of time, then the two points on the graphs of each person would be in the same spot. So if you did (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) for each person, the slope would be the same.

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

but i have number 1 n 2 done i need help with 3 etc

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

@sshayer

OpenStudy (fbarroga):

That's the explanation for problem #3.

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

4. wouldn't the slope be 35 bc for susan and jonathan it was y=35(t) +2(1/3) t=hour

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please, get started on #3. Share your thoughts and any work you've done. Then someone could see where you are and jump in to help at that point.

OpenStudy (khantahmina):

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Earlier you said you needed help with #3. Please make up your mind. What have you thought / done so far? What do you need to know to proceed?
