zarkam21 (zarkam21):

14 squared for this?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

14 squared will give you the area for the entire square. Not the area for the shaded part. To find the area of the shaded part, find the area of the entire square and then you have to subtract the area of the 4 quarter circles.

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

14*14-14

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

this equals 182

OpenStudy (evoker):

The area of a circle is pi * r^2

OpenStudy (mrnood):

this is EXACTLY the same problem as you posted yesterday having 2 half circle in a square This one has 4 quarter circles Just subtract the circle area from the square area as you did before

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

OKay welll I know you have to use 14*14

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

196

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

And then I subtract 14?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

@MrNood

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Ugh :(

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

I'm just gonna submit 182

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

wrong :P
