Which of the following is an example of an appeal to emotion? .

OpenStudy (katecc379):

My siblings never argue unless my brother is cranky. They argued today. Therefore, my brother is cranky. Family and friends are necessary sources of support that many people rely on their entire lives. Have you ever laughed so hard you snorted? My sister does this a lot. It's a great feeling of pure joy. Every time my sister laughs, she also snorts. My sister just laughed. Therefore, she is about to snort.

You mean this one? " Family and friends are necessary sources of support that many people rely on their entire lives."

OpenStudy (katecc379):

yes

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Hmmm, this question is a little tricky. Let's look at what 'appeal to emotion means. "Appeal to emotion or argumentum ad passiones or appeal to feels is a logical fallacy characterized by the manipulation of the recipient's emotions in order to win an argument, especially in the absence of factual evidence."

MsBrains (ms-brains):

I think you are correct. =) What do you think @alones

alones (alones):

Lol same here @ms-brains

OpenStudy (katecc379):

that was wrong idk how how about this one Which of the following is an example of an appeal to logic? It is good to support your siblings when they feel happy. This is a great way to make friends with your brother or sister, which is important. My brother is the most important person in my life. He is my best friend, and whenever he laughs, I can't help feeling happy, too. My brother has a right to smile and laugh whenever he wants. It makes him feel good, and the experience of joy is wonderful. Every time my brother smiles, he laughs thirty seconds later. My brother just smiled. Therefore, he will laugh in under a minute.
