use the properties of logarithms to evaluate the following

OpenStudy (hdrager):

\[\log_{2}2^5 \]

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Ooohhh, this is an easy one! This is the rule \(\Large log_x x^y = y\) Because basically \(\Large log_x x^y = y~log_x x = y(1) = y\)

OpenStudy (hdrager):

so is it 5?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Correct! :D

OpenStudy (hdrager):

oh wow the explanation on my paper makes it seam so difficult!
