if we assume sale tax has not been added already, then let's take a look at it we have a console we have a game so if let console = x and let game = y if they purchase one console, we have 1x if they purchase 3 games, we have 3y we know that console costs $299, so we have spent 1x299 on the console, because we bought 1, and 1 costs 299 we know that a game costs $59.99, so we have spent 3x59.99, because we bought three, and 1 costs 59.99 so we now have an expression 1x+3y=(1x$299) + (3x$59.99) so we get x+3y= $299 + $179.97 so we have x+3y=$478.97 however if sales tax was already added, i don't know how much sales tax is so i can't help
