When Italy surrendered in September 1943, Germany pulled all of their armies out of Italy.

Germany and Italy were allies in WW2. You don't need to occupy your ally. There were no German troops to speak of in Italy before the surrender to Eisenhower. Italy is a corridor pointed straight at the heart of Germany. With the Italians gone, Germany needed to occupy Italy. For defense if for no other reason. I'm guessing this is a True or False question. Hoping you can see it is the opposite of what happened.
