OpenStudy (sasabina123):

Can you just check my answer please?? Given that angle B = (2x-4), find the complement of B. I got 179 - 2x is that correct? Thanks.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, not 180 so try again :)

OpenStudy (sshayer):

90-(2x-4)=?

OpenStudy (sasabina123):

-2x + 94? @sshayer @thesmartone

OpenStudy (sasabina123):

and btw thank you! I got those two confused...

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Great job! :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

also one way to keep them in mind is that complementary starts with c and is 90 degrees sum supplementary starts with s and is 180 degrees sum and c comes before s, and 90 is less than 180 :P
