TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

ummm how to explain mhmm so we don't know the first term, but we know the few after it each next term is getting divided by 2 x, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25 what is the first term? x/2 = 10 x = ?

OpenStudy (katecc379):

20

OpenStudy (katecc379):

so -15/2 is the rate of change

OpenStudy (katecc379):

just don't know the next part

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

yeah so the first term is 20 and that's correct and a geometric expression is in the form of \(a_1 \cdot r^{n-1}\) where a1 is the first term and r is the rate we know the rate is dividing by 2, which is the same thing as multiplying by 1/2 and we know that the first term is 20 mhmm

OpenStudy (katecc379):

so C

great job :)
