Prove that 3:8 is equivalent to 12:32 in diagram form

Draw a rectangular bar divided into 8 equal parts. (say a 4 x 2 block design)
Draw another rectangular bar beneath it (of same size divided into 32 equal parts)
(use 4 x 2 and then add more lines horizontal and vertical to make it an 8 x 4)
Shade in the amounts required and you should see they match.
