Well if f(x) is \(3x^2 + x − 3\) and g(x) is \(x^2 − 5x + 1\) \[f(x) − g(x) \\ \\ =(3x^2 + x − 3) - (x^2 − 5x + 1)\]
Simplify it and you should get your answer.
