What happens when baking soda is mixed with milk.?Yahoo says that it would bubble up....but what's the reason behind bubbling up?

baking soda is NaHCO3 I would guess we get CO2

I get that thing about the gas getting released....but is the milk gonna be affected in some way?and if so,why?

okay i get it....just cuz CO2 is being released there is gonna be some kind of bubbling in there...thanks a lot!:D
