Which describes the effect of the New Madrid earthquake on settlement and development of Arkansas? A. brought in many new settlers fleeing New Madrid, Missouri B. made settlement even more difficult in northeast Arkansas C. shifted the earth to expose more fertile areas for farming D. drained off swamps and led to a decrease in cases of malaria

This is the last question.
I thought it was maybe B or D.
I'm not sure. It could be A, simply because people were fleeing from Missouri. There were 3 shocks, and one HUGE aftershock, which is what scared everyone away.. So, I'm not completely sure. I'm pretty sure it's not C or D. The shake actually caused more water to come up from cracks in the Earth
Ahh, okay. Between A and B, I think A might make more sense. Thanks!!!!
No problem :)
