is anyone taking business math?
what is your question ?
no
@jhonyy9
So you have this total, \(\large\rm 3420.00\) and this check is still outstanding, \(\large\rm 516.88\). So to reconcile the balance, you'll need to start by taking that amount out of the total.\[\large\rm 3420.00-516.88\]Understand? That doesn't finish balancing it, there are other amounts that need to either be added or removed from the total. But does that give you an idea of what's going on?
2,903.12. I don't understand what to do next. do I have to do something with the 453.13?
Yes, you have to either subtract it or add it to the total to fix the balance.
You have to pay attention to the little key words they're giving you.
`outstanding` means it's an amount that needs to be paid still (subtracted). `deposit` is an amount that needs to be added. `charges` need to be subtracted as well. `returned check` needs to be added to the total.
3,444.90 was my answer. What did I do wrong?
@zepdrix now I'm getting 3,268.90
Hmm I dunno :( Maybe I misunderstanding some of these fancy business words. I'm not sure what NSF stands for...
I'm just gonna go crawl in a hole now and give up on math lol. Maybe my dad can help. Thanks for trying though
