Triangle question help please

OpenStudy (abbles):

I'm having trouble with number 10

OpenStudy (abbles):

I got: c = 2.01 C = 66.9 degrees B = 66.1 degrees But... how do I find the other triangle?

OpenStudy (evoker):

B could also be 180-66.1 degrees if there were some spare angle left, in this case won't work though so I think that is the only one.

OpenStudy (evoker):

Nevermind well that is the other B =180-66.1=113.9

OpenStudy (abbles):

Hold on.. hmm..

OpenStudy (abbles):

So the second B would be 113.9 and the second C would be 19.09?

OpenStudy (abbles):

Why did you subtract 66.1 from 180?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the large arc is the angle in other possible triangle ( = 180 - 66.1)

OpenStudy (evoker):

The subtraction is because the second quadrant has an angle with the same sin as the first quadrant.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- though i messed that diagram up a bit!

OpenStudy (abbles):

Okay... I think I'm getting it... kinda Thanks guys
