Check my work?

OpenStudy (abbles):

For part I, I got 12.92 and I'm pretty sure it's right. Part II is where I'm a little unsure... at first, I used the law of sines and got 81.63 degrees... then I tried the law of cosines to check my answer, but came up with 98.4 degrees. Which is correct?

@MissSmartiez

OpenStudy (evoker):

12.92 looks correct

OpenStudy (evoker):

The reason is because there are two valid answers, based on the picture though, the angle must be greater than 90.

OpenStudy (evoker):

Also if you use the sine law for the last angle you get 27.6, which means the one must be 98.4

OpenStudy (evoker):

The main problem is that the sin gives the reference angle, which 98.4 has the same sine.

OpenStudy (abbles):

Oh, interesting. Thanks for clearing that up!
