So, I know the formulas are: r^2 = y^2 + x^2 and tantheta = y/x So, r = pm 3 But what about theta? wouldn't it be undefined? 3/0...

It would be which means your answer is either straight up or straight down, in this case straight up, if you are using radians that is pi/2 or 90 if you are using degrees.
