Hi. This is kinda long but I'm hoping someone is willing to help me.. I need help with the following question. I'll start off with what I know. I know that E is true because there is a infinite discontinuity at x=3. I think C is true as well because the limits are opposite of eachother which means the limit does not exist. I think that the following choices are false: A, B, and D. I say A is incorrect because the value of lim x rightarrow 2 f(x) is equal to 4 meaning it exists. I say B is incorrect because the value pf lom x rightarrow f(x) is 1 which also means it exists. Lastly, I think D

Question

OpenStudy (stephy321):

...lastly D is false because there isnt a jump discontinuity on the graph.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

A is false because the limit does exist and it equals 4 B is false because the limit does exist and it equals 1 C is true because the left hand limit (LHL) and the right hand limit (RHL) don't equal one another. So the limit at x = 3 doesn't exist D is false because there is no jump discontinuity E is true because there is an infinite discontinuity at x = 3 ----------------------------------- I basically restated what you wrote above. All of what you said is correct.

wooohooo! thanks for making sure!! 😁
