OpenStudy (donnie1999):

what is the median, minimum value, maximum value, and first quartile ?

OpenStudy (phi):

which parts can you answer ?

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

first quartile is A maximum value is D median is C ? minimum value is B

OpenStudy (phi):

mostly ok. but min means "smallest" and B is not the smallest btw, do they want the letters or the numbers ?

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

letters

OpenStudy (phi):

quartile means "one fourth" (it's a bit like quarters in a football game or quarters in a dollar )

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

ohh ok

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

so A is the minimum?

OpenStudy (phi):

so a quartile is a range of numbers in this case they want the range of numbers in the first (i.e. smallest) 1/4 which is segment from A to B yes A is the min value of this data

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

oh ok thanks and the rest is correct right?

OpenStudy (phi):

min is A max is D median is C first quartile is A to B
