7.4/5 = (x + 2.7)/x

7.4x = 5(x + 2.7)

7.4x = 5x + 13.5

7.4x - 5x = 13.5

2.4x = 13.5

x = 13.5/2.4

x = 5.625

x = 5.6 cm
