@mathmate @AutoTune @BrainlyOfficial @Evoker plz help

OpenStudy (visarika23):

f(x)=x-2 f(g(x))=g(x)-2 Now g(x)=x^2-7x-9 So f(g(x))=x^2-7x-9-2 Put x=-1 and simplify

OpenStudy (mynameisidek):

@Visarika23 so what would be the final answer?

OpenStudy (visarika23):

It should be -3

OpenStudy (mynameisidek):

@Visarika23 Let f(x) = x + 8 and g(x) = x2 − 6x − 7. Find f(g(2)). Let f(x) = 5x + 12. Find f−1(x). Let f(x) = −4x + 7 and g(x) = 10x − 6. Find f(g(x)).

OpenStudy (liziekay):

Do you know how to solve these?

OpenStudy (mynameisidek):

no

OpenStudy (mynameisidek):

@liziekay plz help

OpenStudy (liziekay):

Basically, plug in f into g so x+8 x2-6x-7)

OpenStudy (mathmate):

From @Visarika23's post: `f(x)=x-2` `f(g(x))=g(x)-2` `Now g(x)=x^2-7x-9` `So f(g(x))=x^2-7x-9-2` `Put x=-1 and simplify` The next step is to put x=-1 in the last line, f(g(x))=(-1)^2-7(-1)-9-2 =.... (take out your calculator and figure it out).
