OpenStudy (johnkim2330):

A ball with radius = 80cm, and mass = 18Kg. What is its density in g/cm3? Round to appropriate significant figure.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

I assume the ball is in the shape of a sphere. Find the volume in cm^3 of a sphere with radius 80 cm. Then convert the mass from kg to g. Then divide the mass in grams by the volume in cm^3.

OpenStudy (johnkim2330):

voume is 2.14466×106

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Correct. That is in cm^3. Now convert 18 kg into grams. Then divide the mass in grams by the volume in cm^3.
