can somebody check my segment bisector after i make it

Open a compass so that it is more than half the width of the line segment
Place a compass at the first point and draw 2 arcs with arbitrary radius, one above the line segment and one below the segment.
Place the compass at the second point and repeat step 2 ( draw 2 arcs with the same radius as the previous ones )
Label the points of intersection
Use a straightedge to connect the two points that were labeled in the previous step.
