Please help :c I will give you a shiny medal! :) Determine the level of measurement of the variable: Positions of runners in a race Choose the correct level of measurement. Ratio Interval Nominal Ordinal
Im guessing that it would be a ratio because the position of the runner in distance can be measured? Like distance can be added and divided into a ratio? But I'm stuck it it's a nominal variable because it can be ranked from first place to second?
@boynet :> I hope your not busy
@agent0smith Do you think you can help explain this :) I hope your not busy
do you know what it is?
I must say you are a very very very polite person.
really? I hope I wasn't rude :(
No, no sarcasm at all, one of the most polite people I've met! I'd have to say it's Ordinal since that shows the object/persons positioning. Of course then again I could be incorrect but nearly 100% sure it's "Ordinal".
Mind I also say, very very patient! 20 minutes! Wow!
Do you have any more questions you need help with?
Yeah I do have a good amount :( But I want to understand everything correctly so I can do more questions well.
So is it ordinal then? Because its a value that can be ranked like First second third or first?
I'd have to say so.
It is :D I guess my thinking was a bit off! Thank you so much :D
It was correct?
yes :D it was, because it can be ranked from first, second, third or fourth yet these still had numerical value in a ranked specific order. :D
Awesome! If you need anything else let me know and I'll try my best to assist you!
Aww thank you so much! :D
No problem! I take a liking to polite people!
Ahah, I'm glad :D It really helps me that you wanted to help, some people don't :B
