So we have the expression \(\large a_n = 2a_{n-1} +3\) And are given \(\large a_1 = 2\) What i we want to find \(\large a_2\)??? Well to find \(\large a_2\) ...lets plug in \(\large n=2\) \[\large a_2 = 2a_{2-1} + 3\] \[\large a_2 = 2a_{1} + 3\] So this says...to find \(\large a_2\) we simply plug in \(\large a_1\) here \[\large a_2 = 2(2) + 3\] \[\large a_2 = 7\] And you just continue on from there to solve for \(\large a_3 , a_4\) etc....
