OpenStudy (iwillrektyou):

I have a question... Please help! Does "|y| is greater than or equal to y^2" have a solution if solved and graphed?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\(|y| = \pm y\) can \(\pm y\) ever be greater than \(y^2\)?

OpenStudy (iwillrektyou):

No.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So it has no solution (:

OpenStudy (iwillrektyou):

So it cannot be solved nor graphed?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

If you graph each one individually, and you'll see that |y| can never be greater than y^2 Yeah, it has no solutions

OpenStudy (iwillrektyou):

Alright. Thank you so much!

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Anytime! :)
