can some one help me make my paragraph in to a well written paragraph will metal and fan
Question 5 (Essay Worth 30 points) (MC) In a well-developed paragraph that includes a topic sentence, supporting details, and conclusion, respond to the following question: Which was more effective at telling the story of Jimmy Valentine, the text or the film version? Give your opinion, and then give details about each version to support your choice. Consider elements like characterization, setting, music, lighting, and emotional connection to the story. (INTRO) My opinion is that a film version is better because you can see the action and drama and not have to picture it in your mind. (BODY)The text version is good but i rather see it in film version. If you look at the story you can picture the drama and action but if you watch it its much better to follow the story and better to see the drama and action. I think it is cool to see jimmy save Agatha and turn not turn bad again and starting robbing safes .It would be better if it had action. (CONCLUSION) The film version is 100% better than the text.

can some one please help
Hi, I'm just going to give some general tips since I do not know what the film/film is about. So, the topic sentence is good, it won't be too difficult to come up with supporting details. I'd maybe state your opinion, though, then put why in the supporting details. Ex: The film version is more effective at telling the story of Jimmy Valentine. You don't really need to state that it's your opinion. That's already implied. For the body, you aren't giving supporting details, you're just restating the topic sentence. So you prefer the film. Why do you prefer the film? Yes, it's usually easier to watch a film that's maybe 2 hours vs. a novel that's 200 pages and might take you a couple of weeks depending. The question is asking which told Jimmy's story better, not which one was easier on the viewer/reader. So, did the film do a better job? Remember, films cut out a lot of material when adapting from a book. If the film still did a better job, why did it? "Consider elements like characterization, setting, music, lighting, and emotional connection to the story." Setting, music, and lighting could be considered "Mood". Setting, music, and lighting affects your emotions which can give you a greater connection to the characters and story. Did this film do that for you? Characterization is if the actors portrayed the characters accurately like they are shown in the book. Did the actors do that? Emotional connection could go back to mood as well. Did you feel more of a connection to the plot and characters in the film or text? -remember, you only need three or four sentences for the body. For the conclusion, just restate your topic sentence. Here's how is should go in your paragraph: Topic sentence-1 sentence Supporting details-3-4 sentences Conclusion-1 sentence Paragraphs are typically 5-6 sentences. Also, do not overuse or repeat a word too often. You used "better" 5 times in just that paragraph. Alright, if you need anymore help, let me know :)
