my answer:
5x - 6 = (1/2)(101 + 37)

5x - 6 = (1/2 * 101) + (1/2 * 37)

5x - 6 = 50 1/2 + 18 1/2

5x - 6 = 69

5x - 6 + 6 = 69 + 6

5x = 75

5x/5 = 75/5

x = 15
