image attached. question: Find the secant of both angle A and angle B. my answer: A. cos = 24/26 = 12/13. secant = 13/12 = 1 1/12 B. cos = 10/26 = 5/13. secant = 13/5 = 2 3/5
You are correct. Since the trig functions are also ratios of the lengths of the sides of right triangles, I would not change any improper fraction into a mixed numeral. I'd leave the fractions as improper fractions because they show more clearly they are ratios. Of course, if your teacher wants mixed numerals, then do it.
