25,000*(2.5*10^5)
Do you need help knowing how to do this? o.o It's basically just order of operations stuff.
I just need help writing it in scientific notation .
Oh okay. I'm assuming you first need to solve it. And then, to write it in scientific notation, you move the decimal to after the first digit, and drop all of the zeroes. To find the exponent, count from the decimal to the end of the number. The number of places or whatever will be your exponent. So if your number was 700, it would be 7 x 10^2. I'm sorry if my words make no sense. I can try and better explain it. And i apologize if you already know how to write stuff in scientific notation ._.
Thank you that helps alot .
Use what @meowimacat wrote, and start by changing 25,000 into scientific notation. Can you do that and show what you get?
yes I got the answer and it was 6.25*10^9
Correct.
\(25000 \times (2.5 \times 10^5) =\) \(=(2.5 \times 10^4) \times (2.5 \times 10^5) \) \(=(2.5 \times 2.5) \times (10^4 \times 10^5) \) \(= 6.25 \times 10^9\)
Thank you so much for a descriptive way to get the answer .
